Tournament Rules:

Dallas Plano Asian Independence Cup 2026 Rules & Regulations
All players participating in this tournament must follow the rules below:

1. The tournament committee reserves the right to amend the rules.
2. FIFA rules will also be applied.
3. All decisions made by the tournament committee are final.
4. Player Eligibility:
5. All players must be at least 18 years old on July 3, 2026 to participate.
6. For O18 age group: players must be born on or before July 3, 2008.
7. For O30 age group: players must be born on or before 1996.
8. For O40 age group: players must be born on or before 1986.
9. For O50 age group: players must be born on or before 1976.
10. For O50 age group (special category): players must be born on or before 1966.
11. For safety and security reasons, all teams and players must register and have valid IDs at all times during the tournament.
12. Teams:
13. The maximum number of players per team is 25 per game.
14. The committee reserves the right to refuse any player with a bad history.
15. Players must wear soccer shoes, socks, and shin guards.
16. Metal cleats are not allowed. Players must check in at the field before each game.
17. Check-in:
18. A new wristband will be issued for each game.
19. Players must have their ID available at all times in case of complaints.
20. Fields:
21. The City of Plano prohibits smoking and alcohol at the fields.
22. Games:
23. Group draw will take place at the fields.
24. Each game consists of:
25. Two 35-minute halves
26. A 3-minute hydration break in each half
27. A 10-minute halftime
28. Unlimited substitutions
29. No extra time will be played.
30. No slide tackles or bicycle kicks are allowed.
31. Teams must arrive at least 20 minutes before the match. A team that does not show up within 15 minutes will forfeit (0 points).
32. Points:
33. No tie games. Matches will go to a penalty shootout to determine a winner.
34. Point system:
    1. 3 points for a regular win
    2. 2.5 points for a penalty shootout win (goals remain recorded as a tie)
    3. 0 points for a loss
35. Tiebreakers:
    1. Total points
    2. Goal difference
    3. Goals scored
    4. Team red cards
    5. Team yellow cards
    6. Penalty kicks (FIFA rules)
36. Infractions:
37. A player receiving a yellow card must be substituted out and sit for at least 5 minutes before returning.
38. Two yellow cards in one game result in a red card. The player must leave the field and is suspended for the next game.
39. A direct red card results in removal from the game and disqualification from the tournament.
40. No weapons are allowed. Any violation will result in team disqualification.
41. Complaint forms will be available during the tournament. Only the team captain may submit complaints to the committee.
42. Use of an ineligible player will result in team disqualification.
43. Players involved in fighting will be removed, and the team will be disqualified.
44. Any assault, yelling, or fighting with volunteers, referees, or committee members will result in team disqualification.
45. All cash prizes will be distributed at the post-tournament party.
46. Red card fine: $300.00. Yellow card fine: $30.00.
47. If a team cancels a game with board approval, the score will be recorded as 0–3.
48. Teams must clean up their trash after each game.
